Just come across a fantastic new product that can be added to your digital marketing arsenal!

You might have heard a little bit about location based services? Well if not, it’s the ability to track vehicles in a company fleet supply advertising to people when they are in a certain location like a shopping centre or be fed information about a certain location when they enter the vicinity.

These services can be accessed via 3g phones and computers but also via your SatNav and I found a brilliant website that actually allows you to upload your own tours that can be downloaded and accessed when required. www.geovative.com

A good example would be something like a Peak District tour where upon arriving at each specified location there is audio and visual information available for the user.

This type of functionality could easily be extended to walking tours around cities like the ever popular ghost walks.

I think that as a value added service you could add a download to your web site. This would be a great product for building your email list and would probably generate some local PR too which in turn generates traffic.
